BEFORE APPOINTMENT CARE.

Before Appointment:

All alcoholic & caffeinated beverages must be avoided 24 hours prior to the procedure. (This includes coffee!) This is to assure the best outcome of your procedure!

Avoid all blood thinning medications/supplements for 24 hours prior to the procedure. This includes Codeine, Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Aspirin, etc. There is an increased risk of bruising and bleeding using these medications.

Avoid all facials, retinoids, AHA’s, BHA’s, chemical peels, anti-aging and anti-acne products prior to procedure; these products tend to make the skin more sensitive.

Injections such as Botox, Dysport, fillers etc must be done at least 3 weeks prior to the procedure.

Sunburned skin can not be treated (avoid the sun as much as possible before appointment!)

Eat well and hydrate before appointment!

Exfoliate your lips about 48 hours before appointment, be sure you are extra gentle!

Keep your lips extra moisturized prior to the appointment. Use Aquaphor or Vaseline.

With permanent makeup, there are certain disorders/ contraindications that are not able to be serviced, these include:

Lesions (Impetigo)

Active Acne in the treatment area

Eczema or excessive dry skin in the treatment area

Keloids in the treatment area

Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye)

Hep C

HIV

MRSA

Scar Tissue

Pregnancy

Taking Accutane medication (Must be off for 6 months)

Steroids (Must be off for 6 months)

There are certain contraindications that are able to be serviced if a Doctors note is present at the time of service, these include:

Diabetes

Breastfeeding

Cancer

Herpes (If prone, an anti-viral will be needed)

Autoimmune Diseases (Such as Lupus, Psoriasis, Hashimoto's)
